Summer Melon Rosé Sangria

  • 60 cl of Rosé Wine
  • 30 g of Sugar
  • 3 Star Anise
  • 1 Pink Grapefruit
  • 1/2 Orange
  • 1/2 Cantaloupe

Preparation steps

  1. Make cantaloupe balls using a melon baller. If you don't have one, cut the cantaloupe into cubes.
  2. Slice the half orange.
  3. Squeeze the juice of the pink grapefruit into a saucepan.
  4. Add the sugar and star anise to the saucepan.
  5. Heat over medium flame and let the mixture reduce to half.
  6. Pour this mixture into an airtight serving bowl.
  7. Add the rosé wine, cantaloupe balls or cubes, and orange slices.
  8. Stir with a wooden spoon.
  9. Refrigerate for at least two hours.
  10. Serve in old-fashioned glasses.
  11. Decoration: Add a piece of cantaloupe on the rim of the glass.
