Creamy Spiced Autumn Delight Tea

Ingredients
- 600 ml of water
- 3 green cardamom pods, lightly crushed
- 2 thick slices of fresh ginger
- 1 small cinnamon stick
- 1 star anise pod
- 400 ml of milk (of your choice)
- A generous pinch of grated nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon of loose black tea
- 1 generous spoonful of honey or maple syrup
Preparation steps
- In a saucepan, combine the water, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, and star anise.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat. Simmer gently for about 5 minutes until the spices' aromas infuse well.
- Add the milk to the saucepan, followed by the loose black tea. Stir gently.
- Bring to a boil again, then let it simmer gently for 2 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and let it steep for 2 to 3 minutes to intensify the flavors.
- Serve in cups, straining the mixture through a fine sieve.
- Finish by adding a spoonful of honey or maple syrup to each cup. Stir gently to combine.
- Optionally, for a luxurious touch, froth a bit of milk separately and place this delicate foam on top of your spiced tea.
