Rose Lassi

Rose lassi is a sweet and fragrant variation of the traditional Indian lassi, a yogurt-based drink. Perfect for quenching your thirst, this easy and quick recipe can be enjoyed at any time of the day.



  • 4 cups of Greek yogurt
  • 100g powdered sugar
  • 3 drops of red food coloring
  • 3 drops of rose water (or rose flavoring)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of green cardamom powder
  • 250ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 250ml crushed ice

Preparation steps

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the plain yogurt, powdered sugar, red food coloring (if using), rose water, and green cardamom powder.
  2. Then, add the semi-skimmed milk and mix everything well.
  3. Using a whisk or a blender, beat the mixture until bubbles appear to obtain a creamy and frothy texture.
  4. Incorporate the crushed ice (or water if you prefer not to use ice) and mix again.
  5. Place the rose lassi in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  6. Pour the chilled mixture into 4 glasses and enjoy immediately.
