Rose Lassi
Rose lassi is a sweet and fragrant variation of the traditional Indian lassi, a yogurt-based drink. Perfect for quenching your thirst, this easy and quick recipe can be enjoyed at any time of the day.
Ingredients
- 4 cups of Greek yogurt
- 100g powdered sugar
- 3 drops of red food coloring
- 3 drops of rose water (or rose flavoring)
- 1/4 teaspoon of green cardamom powder
- 250ml semi-skimmed milk
- 250ml crushed ice
Preparation steps
- In a large bowl, mix together the plain yogurt, powdered sugar, red food coloring (if using), rose water, and green cardamom powder.
- Then, add the semi-skimmed milk and mix everything well.
- Using a whisk or a blender, beat the mixture until bubbles appear to obtain a creamy and frothy texture.
- Incorporate the crushed ice (or water if you prefer not to use ice) and mix again.
- Place the rose lassi in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Pour the chilled mixture into 4 glasses and enjoy immediately.
