Ingredients

  • 5 teaspoons of ground coffee
  • 600 ml of water
  • 80 g of powdered sugar

Preparation steps

  1. Prepare a coffee infusion by pouring the ground coffee into a French press or a coffee filter. Pour hot water over the coffee and let it steep for 4-5 minutes.
  2. Filter the coffee infusion through a coffee filter or a strainer to remove the coffee grounds.
  3. Add the powdered sugar to the coffee infusion and stir until completely dissolved.
  4. Pour the mixture into a shallow container that can be placed in the freezer and put it in the freezer.
  5. Every 30 minutes, remove the container from the freezer and scrape the surface of the granita with a fork to break up the ice crystals.
  6. Repeat this process every 30 minutes until the granita is completely set, which will take about 2-3 hours.
  7. Once the granita is set, scrape it again with a fork to form ice crystals and serve it in glasses.
  8. You can decorate the glasses with a touch of whipped cream and sprinkle cocoa powder on top for an elegant presentation.
